The Loyal Dog Hachiko

On my trip to Japan we went to Shibuya in Tokyo and I definitely took the opportunity to draw Hachi short for Hachiko.

For those who don't know about Hachi, Hachiko was a dog who would always walk with his owner to and from the station when he went to work. Even after his master died Hachi would walk to and from station waiting for his master, His act of loyalty was immortalized in the statue.

There are several examples of Hachi's waiting for his master in pop culture, one example is seen in Pokemon X and Y were a pair of Skiddo wait in front of the train station and another is seen in Futurama were Fry's dog Seymour continued to wait for Fry in front the pizza shop waiting until he died.

Also for those who have played The World Ends With You, going to Hachiko was a total fan moment for me. Wonder if I made a pact with anyone when i was there
