The Slain Princess

Some more anime fan art, this time from CLAMP's Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle, showing one of the most intense moments of the series where Princess Sakura is stabbed by Fai who had been cursed to automatically kill anyone whose magic exceeds his own. Tsubasa has always had a close place in my heart and this scene has always been something I've dreamed of drawing. Seeing this completed I can't help feel accomplished for accomplishing a goal I've had for a long time. Getting the form down was tricky but I'm amazed at how the simple shading really gave the piece depth and feeling. A moment in time captured.
